Dear VCOA Great Lakes
Chapter members and supporters,
I am writing on behalf of President Tim Cox. Fall is just around
the corner! We hope you have had a good summer and fall ahead. Fall is a good
time to plan a color tour and go to some interesting places…in your
Volvo!
On Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 at a slightly different time than
other months (6:00 pm instead of 5:30), Clara's in Lansing, we are having our
club meeting to plan for the future and discuss the upcoming board positions /
election. Every other year, we have done an event at Gilmore. I have called
them about setting a date and tentatively have set Saturday, August 11th, 2012.
I challenge you to gather as many volvos as you can, in any shape so that all
can enjoy! We will be on the field by the Gift Shop and G barn and can EASILY
accommodate 100 cars. Remember that the new Model A / Interpretation Center
which is a new 36,000 square foot building near the new parking lot and
entrance, will be complete in the next few months, so there is always something
new to see. Other buildings are slated to begin construction in the next few
years. See what a gem of a museum we have right here in the midwest!
