I hope you all have had a safe and warm
winter. I look out the window today and see the
sun shining, the snow melting and I think it will not be long before we get our
cars ready for a great spring, summer,
and show season. I’m looking forward to it!
On Tuesday February 17 at 5:30 we will meet at Clara’s in
Lansing (weather permitting) for a planning session for club events for the
coming year. On tap is our spring outing to Auburn Indiana to visit the
three museums. We have negotiated a group price for admission for the
weekend and are working on a group price for a hotel. Come help us
finalize plans (many hands make the task easier!)
In June we plan to attend the Greenfield Village Motor
Muster as a group. If your car is a 1975 or earlier and substantially in
stock condition, you can enter it. This is a great time and I encourage
you to attend either as a participant or as a supporter of the club members
that are. Now is the time to register go to
their website for info and applications.
Later in the summer we will probably gather for a club
picnic and drive. We will discuss that at Clara’s on the 17th,
too. Come be a participant and make your suggestion for the location.
Please check the website (www.greatlakesvolvoclub.org) if
the weather threatens to see if we have to cancel at the last minute.
