It is with great sadness that we mention two longtime members/active participants in our club, recently passed away within a few days of each other :

Jim Webb, longtime member and past president of the Great Lakes Chapter, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Darrell Tammen

 Passed away peacefully with his wife of 64 years (and fellow Volvo enthusiast) Bonnie at his side. His health had been failing so we know it is a blessing but he will be missed here on this earth!

He ended up in a nursing home about two months ago and passed away last week if anyone wishes to either write on the memorial website or drop Bonnie a card:

  • LOOKING FOR IDEAS FOR a FALL COLOR TOUR, any idea welcome, then discuss.  IDEA: The BMW club met in mid-October at Sweetwater Donuts in Plainwell at 10 am, drove up to Gun Lake for a color tour, then down to the Gull Meadow Farms apple orchard, then to lunch at the Old Mill in Plainwell. They had about 20 cars and was a fun/easy activity.

ABOUT US!

     We are a group of automobile enthusiasts interested in all years and models of Volvo cars.

     We formed the group in 2006 and hold regular chapter meetings every other month.  We sponsor several events throughout the year that are intended to be fun, educational and family friendly.  This includes the biennial 'Volvos at the Gilmore' hosted at the spectacular Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners Michigan.
